Manchester United have agreed a €37.5 million (£31.4m) deal with Lecce to sign Patrick Dorgu, according to reports in Italy.
The versatile wing-back is now set to become the first signing of Ruben Amorim’s reign as United manager.
According to Sky Sport Italy, United have agreed to pay €30m (£25.2m) up front, plus a further €7.5m (£6.2m) in add-ons.
The 20-year-old is in his second season with Lecce following his €200,000 (£175,000) move from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in 2022.
Dorgu is capable of playing on either flank and is seen as a player who can play a key role in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system which relies heavily on wing-backs.
Elsewhere, Napoli remain in talks with United over a deal for Alejandro Garnacho but the Serie A leaders are still refusing to meet the €65m (£54.5m) asking price…
