Human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has called for the arrest and prosecution of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, over allegations involving the detention of 15 domestic workers and the controversial purchase of jewelry worth ₦750 million. Sowore made the demand via social media, questioning the source of funds used in the lavish purchase.

“Where did you get ₦750 million to purchase jewelry?” Sowore queried, referencing reports about the workers’ detention and the EFCC’s past investigations. He criticised what he described as selective justice, claiming that powerful individuals often escape accountability in Nigeria.

The former First Lady has previously denied any wrongdoing, and there has been no official response from her or law enforcement authorities regarding Sowore’s latest comments. The development has reignited conversations about corruption, privilege, and the rule of law in Nigeria.
