Enyimba fell 2-1 to Orlando Pirates of South Africa in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A tie today in Johannesburg.
The loss means Enyimba slipped in the group standings, while Pirates climbed to top place on four points after two rounds of matches.
Home team Pirates took the lead in the 27th minute through Deon Hotto.
Enyimba drew level on the dot of half time when skipper Austin Oladapo put away a penalty after speedy winger Iwuala Anayo was felled inside the box on his way to goal.
However, ‘The Sea Robbers’ continued to pile on the pressure for a winning goal and they were rewarded a minute from time when Tshegofatso Mabasa scored to make up for a missed penalty in the 77th minute.
