Former Nigeria international Emeka Ezeugo has expressed sadness over the death of his one time teammate in the Super Eagles Barnaba Imenger.
Imenger died in the early hours of Monday after a protracted illness.
And reacting to the death of his former international teammate, Ezeugo wrote on his Facebook page:”Another one, yeah I have lost another brother from another mother that we served Nigeria with all our strength, might and power and ready to sacrifice our lives if we had to.

“I am crying without tears that Barnabas Imenger has left us.”

Imenger started his Football profession in Makurdi with HMB FC, and moved to BBL Hawks later to be known as Lobi Bank FC and now Lobi Stars.
Also, he featured for BCC Lions of Gboko, El-kanemi Warriors Maiduguri and also played professional football in Saudi Arabia.
He was a member of the Super Eagles squad that finished fourth at the 1995 FIFA Confederations Cup (known then as King Fahd Cup) in Saudi Arabia.
He scored Nigeria’s opener in the 6-0 win against Ethiopia in Lagos in 1993 as the Eagles qualified for the 1994 AFCON in Tunisia.
