The Confederation of African Football (CAF) today announced that at least 8,000 fans will be allowed into the Teslim Balogun Stadium to cheer the Super Eagles against Lesotho Tuesday.
CAF said fans will be allowed to take up 30% of the 24,000-capacity stadium, which will come down to about 8,000 spectators for the final AFCON qualifier.
CAF have equally approved spectators for some of the AFCON qualifiers to be played over the weekend across the continent.
Fr example, 5,000 fans will be allowed for the clash between Burundi and Central African Republic, while 1,500 fans will be admitted for the Madagascar vs Niger game.
Nigeria beat Lesotho 4-2 in Maseru in November 2019.
This will be the first time in 10 years that the Super Eagles will play in the country’s capital city.
