Club Brugge look set to successfully defend their Belgian league championship and are already planning for next season with speculations regarding the future of their recod signing David Okereke.
Okereke, 23, cost Club Brugge a record eight million Euros when he joined up two seasons ago, but he has failed to meet up to the huge expectations.
In his first season, he started brightly but then suffered a dip in form to finish with nine goals in the league.
This season, he has failed to match those numbers and pushing him from the arrowhead of the attack to the flanks has not worked that he is now very much down the pecking order at Club Brugge.
According to Voetbalnieuws, Okereke’s contract is till June 2023 and the options would be the send him out on loan in the summer or to offload him permanently, but at far less than the eight million Euros the Belgian champions paid Spezia for him just two years ago.
