Aminata Diallo was taken into custody by investigators looking into an assault on her fellow midfielder Kheira Hamraoui.

A PARIS St.-Germain women’s squad member was arrested by French police on Wednesday. The police are looking into accusations she had planned an attack on her teammate, who was struck in the legs by masked men wielding metal bars.
The club have said the player arrested is midfielder Aminata Diallo. Diallo was taken into custody as part of the police’s investigation into an attack on one of their players last Thursday. P.S.G won its first league title this year, but did not comment further on the incident or name the players that had been attacked.
Diallo, who is 26 was arrested the day after she replaced her injured teammate Kheira Hamraoui in P.S.G. ‘s midfield for its Champions League game against Real Madrid. P.S.G signed Hamraoui from Barcelona this season and is said to be recovering from injuries to both her legs and her hands sustained in the attack which took place when a team dinner finsIhed.
The 21-year-old accepted a life from Diallo after the dinner. As they were driving, the car was brought to a halt by two men. A witness or person with information of the situation told French publication L’Equipe . The women were pulled from the car, the person claimed, and said Hamraoui was assaulted, while Diallo was held down by the other.

“The club is paying close attention to the progress of the proceedings and will study what action to take.”
The incident will bring back memories of the 1994 attack on figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. Kerrigan was attacked with a police baton at that year’s United States championships in a plot conducted by the ex-husband of a rival skater, Tonya Harding.
After Kerrigan pulled out of the championships, Harding won to claim a place on the 1994 U.S. Olympic team. Kerrigan was later named to the team despite failing to qualify and won the silver medal. Harding, who has long denied being involved in the attack but pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution, finished eight.
