Harry Maguire has been blasted by ITV pundits for his celebrations after his goal against Albania for England.
The Manchester United captain has been the subject of criticism for his performances wearing a Red Devils shirt this season – but he has now seemingly hit back with a celebration gesturing to his ears following his goal to give England the lead in their World Cup qualifying game.
But his actions did not impress the pundits on the panel for ITV, some of which said that Maguire “didn’t need to do it.”
Roy Keane laid into the 28-year-old, saying his celebration was ‘embarrassing.’ He said: “He’s put his hands to his ears to shut the critics up.
“But I think that’s embarrassing, he’s been a disgrace the last few months for Man Utd, he thinks if he scores he’s going to shut his critics up. Embarrassing.”
