Boxer vomits in ring after stomach-churning punch catching commentator off-guard

A boxer was left vomiting on his knees in the ring, after suffering a stomach-churning punch which left the TV commentator stunned. Marquez Greer was taking on Marquis “Honcho” Williams in Alabama over the weekend.

Greer was looking to stop a torrid run in the ring, which had seen him lose all 14 of his fights. Williams meanwhile was in the ring for the very first time and was no doubt looking to make his mark on his debut.

And this he did, after landing a gut-wrenching punch on Greer who hit the canvas before appearing to vomit as he clambered over to the corner of the ring.

After noticing the fighter’s discomfort, the fight referee quickly intervened by ending the bout and gifting Williams a debut win. Clearly pleased with his victory ‘Hancho’ darted over to the corner of the ring before jumping on the ropes in celebration.

Less could be said for his opponent though, who was left vomiting on his knees before slowly making his way to his feet. Those watching on could not quite believe the state the defeated fighter was left in.
