Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is a player Manchester United are looking at and “are aware of”.
It is thought any more midfield additions would be contingent on sales.
Amrabat, who worked with Ten Hag at Utrecht, was part of the Morocco team that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
He also played in last month’s Europa Conference League Final defeat to West Ham United.
Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone said : “We have not received any bid or proposal for him at all. He’s a Fiorentina player now. If an offer comes, we will consider it”.
Amrabat has a year left on his contract with the option of a further year.
As we reported last month, United have also asked to be kept informed of any developments regarding Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
