Enyimba of Aba Head coach, Finidi George has urged active Super Eagles of Nigeria players to invest in real estate to prevent financial difficulties when they retire from football.
Over the years, several retired Super Eagles players have been seen struggling to survive life after football due to their poor investment choices or lack of investments.
Some of these former players suffer to their early graves due to their inability to sustain themselves from what is left of their football careers.
To prevent that from happening to the current Super Eagles players, Finidi George who is also the team’s assistant coach, has urged the players not to invest in unfamiliar ventures.
According to the former Ajax winger, the best business in which the Super Eagles players should invest in is real estate because investment in real estate hardly depreciate.
“My best advice for active players now is to invest in property because it’s the best way to secure their money as the value appreciates and they will have something to fall back on,” Finidi George said as quoted by the Punch.
“If they invest in a business that they are not sure of they will have problems.”
