On November 25, 2020, Diego Maradona passed away at the age of 60 at his home in the San Andres neighbourhood, in the town of Tigre.

On August 22, 2023, with this marking the 1,000th day since the passing of the great legend of Argentine football, his daughter Gianinna posted an emotional and heartfelt message on her Instagram account.

“Time doesn’t heal a damn thing, time rearranges some feelings, but the pain is intransmissible,” she noted.

“You navigate it as you can, battling with a thousand open fronts and a constant call for justice.

Dalma and I won’t stop, they won’t break us.

“Each passing day is one day less until we meet again, wherever you are, hopefully at peace with your beautiful smile.

“You can’t mend what never existed. 1,000 days without being able to hug you, but I still carry you with me.

“You’re in the laughter of your grandchildren, in the embraces with my sister, in mom’s caresses, in every memory of the beautiful family of fans you left behind! We love you, Babu!”

Gianinna maintains that Maradona’s death was premeditated

Gianinna Maradona, the former wife of Sergio Aguero, remains steadfast in her determination to seek clarity on all the circumstances surrounding Maradona‘s death and once again called for justice.

“I swear to you that that gang of mobsters will fall and then we’ll be able to live in peace,” she noted.

“It’s not just a personal opinion, but a reality supported by multiple reports that expose negligence and mistreatment towards my father.

“Keep sending me those signals that embrace my soul, make me feel you and push me to continue.

“Thank you for being my dad, I miss you a little more every day!”
