Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed how Aaron Ramsdale has responded to losing his place in goal for the Gunners to summer signing David Raya.
Much has been made of Arteta’s decision to start Raya between the sticks for Arsenal’s last two games, against Everton and PSV Eindhoven respectively, leaving Ramsdale on the bench. It has certainly divided opinion among fans and pundits alike, with many claiming that England ace Ramsdale hasn’t done anything to warrant being dropped.
Others have suggested it is simply a testament to the Arsenal manager’s ruthless streak that he views Raya as an upgrade and will operate as such. Some feel that he could chop and change between the two, though there are fears among the Gunners faithful that such a dynamic would leave both goalkeepers unsatisfied.
