Luis Diaz scores two goals in front of his father as Colombia beat Brazil

VIA FAN NATION FUTBOL:

Luis Diaz scored the first brace of his senior international career as Colombia came from behind to beat Brazil 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

Brazil took an early lead when Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli scored at international level for the first time following excellent build-up play with Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius then limped off with a suspected thigh injury midway through the first half.

Colombia dominated the game in terms of chances but Brazil keeper Alisson Becker kept the away side ahead by pulling off eight saves.

However, Alisson was finally beaten in the 75th minute when Liverpool teammate Diaz headed home from a Cristian Borja cross.

Another Diaz header four minutes later, this time set up by James Rodriguez, then gave Colombia a deserved victory.
