Watching Thiago Alcantara play football was like watching the sun rise. Like a symphonist dictating the rhythm of his ensemble. As elegant & majestic ball could look.
Football lost one of its true artists today.
Happy retirement amigo, @Thiago6 ❤️

According to Fabrizio Romano, Thiago Alcantara has decided to quit football at the age of 33. After leaving Liverpool as a free agent in June, the La Masia graduate is “ready for a new chapter in football.”
The midfielder donned the Barcelona colours between 2009 and 2013, winning an impressive ten titles with the club, including a Champions League and four La Ligas.
Despite hanging up his boots, Thiago may be back at Camp Nou this summer – Hansi Flick is reportedly looking for an assistant who can speak both Spanish and German to act as an intermediary between the coach and players.
Thiago would undoubtedly be a great addition to the coaching staff.
