“The Gypsy King” isn’t a fan of artificial intelligence (AI).
Oleksandr Usyk went up 2-0 in his rivalry against Tyson Fury last night (Sat., Dec. 21, 2024), defeating via unanimous decision while defending the WBA, WBC, and WBO Heavyweight titles from inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (watch highlights).
One of the strangest storylines from the big boxing match was that an AI judge scored a fight for the first time in boxing history.
WTF … right?
When the fight was over, the robot judge scored it 118-112 in favor of Usyk, with the Ukrainian fighter taking every single round except the second round and saw the first and last round a rare 10-10.
Check out the AI scorecard below:

During the Uysk vs. Tyson 2 post-fight press conference, Fury was asked what he thought of the robot judge.
“By the review of that [scored], it’s absolutely sh-t,” Fury said.
The former lineal Heavyweight boxing world champion went on to trash AI.;L
“Here’s one, f—k all the computers,” Fury said. “Keep the humans going. More jobs for humans, less jobs for computers. And f—k electric cars, too, while we’re at it.”

It’s safe to say that the AI judge needs to go back into the lab and watch some more fights before coming out to play.
