An EFCC witness on Friday told an Abuja High Court he could not link former CBN governor Godwin Emefiele to the Zenith Bank accounts involved in an alleged property fraud case.
The House of Representatives has urged the federal government to allocate the 753-unit housing estate forfeited by former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele to IDPs and low-income Nigerians under a transparent and accountable framework.
A Lagos court granted Godwin Emefiele leave to conduct an independent forensic review of WhatsApp messages and a mobile device admitted as evidence in his corruption trial.
According to the minister, the houses were handed over to the Ministry of Housing under the directive of President Bola Tinubu, and the ministry has since taken full possession of the properties.
“Finally, the housing units will be offered for sale through a transparent and competitive process, which will be widely advertised and managed via the Renewed Hope Portal,” the minister tweeted.
