The latest incident came with WAEC’s 2025 WASSCE results, initially showing only 38.3% pass rates in key subjects.
The assessment will involve subject-specific tests, oral interviews, and WAEC result verification.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said the move aims to curb “academic abuse” and ensure only exceptionally gifted candidates below 16 gain admission.
Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede announced that such candidates must score at least 320 in UTME, 80% in post-UTME, and 80% in WAEC or NECO in one sitting. They must also pass a dedicated interview.
