A public interest lawyer, Ayodele Ademiluyi, has dragged the Federal Government, NCAA, and others to court, accusing them of double standards in the handling of aviation incidents involving Kwam 1 and Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson.
“FAAN will work with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol going forward,” Keyamo said.
Having publicly demonstrated penitence, the NCAA is also to withdraw its criminal complaints against KWAM 1 earlier lodged with the Police,’ said Festus Keyamo
“The NCAA is to reduce his flight ban to a one-month period. FAAN will also work with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador…”
The Federal Government has moved to end the high-profile airport misconduct cases on compassionate grounds.
The NCAA says Ibom Air’s swift legal action led to Comfort Emmanson’s remand, while ValueJet chose not to prosecute Kwam 1 over a separate flight disruption.
“It is no longer a six-month issue. It is until whenever investigations into this matter have been concluded.”
