The editing feature is the most recent of the many additions that WhatsApp has released in recent weeks.
WhatsApp, an instant messaging service, has unveiled a new feature that lets users edit messages that have already been sent.
The new feature would enable WhatsApp users to edit messages even 15 minutes after sending them, according to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, who made the announcement on Monday.
In the past, users had to remove messages or provide corrections in a different message.
Contrarily, messaging editing features have long been available in WhatsApp’s rivals, Telegram and Signal. Last year, Twitter also gave premium users access to the edit button.
In comparison to Telegram, where users have up to 48 hours to update their messages, WhatsApp’s 15-minute window is quite brief. However, there is a chance that WhatsApp will increase the window.
