President Bola Tinubu paid a visit to former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his residence in Minna, Niger State, where the two leaders engaged in discussions on the nation’s current affairs.
The meeting, held away from the public eye, reportedly focused on the prevailing state of the nation. President Tinubu, interrupting his schedule to attend the inauguration of agricultural mechanization projects in Minna, went directly to Babangida’s residence. Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago was also present during the hour-long deliberations.
Earlier in the day, President Tinubu, while inaugurating the agricultural mechanization revolution and commissioning the remodeled domestic terminal of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, urged state governments to adopt the wage award. He emphasized his commitment to implementing reforms aimed at revamping the nation’s finances and fostering progress, refraining from attributing blame to past administrations.
Tinubu, who assumed office last May, stressed his focus on implementing the necessary reforms to steer the nation towards prosperity.
