SaharaReporters days ago reported that Atiku faulted President Bola Tinubu’s proposed N49.7 trillion 2025 budget, saying that the budget with over N13 trillion deficit represents consistent financial indiscipline of the All Progressives Congress-led government.
Atiku had said the budget lacks structural reforms and fiscal discipline needed to address Nigeria’s multifaceted challenges.
Atiku, a former presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had faulted Tinubu’s proposal in the budget, noting that to bridge the fiscal gap, his administration plans to secure over N13trillion fresh loans, including N9 trillion in direct borrowings and N4trillion in project-specific loans.
