A Colorado lawyer has slammed former president Donald Trump after the the Colorado Supreme Court ruled against him.

The court implemented Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment for the very first time blocking Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential ballot.

The court ruled 4-3 to remove Mr Trump, citing his involvement in the 6 January insurrection in 2021.

Former US President Donald Trump has since said that he considers indictments against him “a badge of honour”.

A lawyer said that the indictment is a “victory for democracy.”

Attorney for Petitioners in Colorado 14th Amendment Case, Eric Olson spoke to GBN America and said that the indictment is a “victory for democracy.”

Talking to Patrick Christys, he said: “We have a process for picking justices in Colorado that is bipartisan. Just because a Democrat governor appointed these justices, they were chosen by bipartisan Commission of qualified justices in our state.

“It is a victory for democracy and the rule of law, not a partisan victory. Our clients are Republicans and independent.
