FBI director casts doubt on whether Trump was struck by bullet during assassination attempt at rally

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Christopher Wray, delivered startling testimony before Congress, casting doubt on the narrative of former President Donald Trump’s account of his close brush with death at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The FBI chief shared that there is uncertainty as to whether the presidential hopeful was hit by a bullet or merely grazed by shrapnel during the attempted assassination.

This disclosure came during Wray’s debriefing on the circumstances that led to the tragic loss of firefighter Corey Comperatore’s life and injuries sustained by two others, including the former president.
