New York City Mayor Eric Adams expected to face federal charges as soon as tomorrow, sources say

According to two people familiar with the situation, federal charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams might come as early as tomorrow from prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, according to a report released Wednesday night.

A string of high-level resignations and at least four federal probes are plaguing the Adams administration.

Adams has consistently refuted any misconduct.

It is thought that one of the investigations would concentrate on whether Adams’ mayoral campaign colluded with the Turkish government to obtain illicit foreign contributions for his campaign. The FBI looked into the primary fundraiser for Adams’ Brooklyn property last year as part of that investigation.

Additionally, federal agents have been examining whether Adams coerced the former fire commissioner of the city to accept a new housing development.
