British Labour Party staffers to join Kamala campaign to boost votes in swing states

Staffers in UK’s center-left Labour Party will be heading to the United States in the next few weeks to campaign on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in crucial swing states, the party’s Head of Operations announced.

Sofia Patel posted on LinkedIn Thursday: “I have nearly 100 Labour Party staff (current and former) going to the US in the next few weeks heading to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia. I have 10 spots available for anyone available to head to the battleground state of North Carolina – we will sort your housing. Email me on labourforkamala@gmail.com if you’re interested. Thanks!”

The initiative, called “Labour for Kamala” is understood to have not been organized or funded by the Labour Party, The Telegraph reports. The outlet also said that volunteers within the party will use their own annual leave to take the trip.
