President-elect Donald Trump said that he would consider pardoning New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Monday morning during a press conference from Mar-a-Lago. The comments come as Adams has been under investigation from the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump was asked by a reporter, “Would you consider pardoning Eric Adams?”
Trump said that he would consider doing so, but would have to look into the facts of Adams’ case. Adams was indicted on federal criminal charges of bribery, wire fraud, and corruption earlier in September.
“I’d have to see, because I don’t know the facts … you know, it’s very interesting, when he essentially went against what was happening with the migrants coming in,” Trump added. In his comments, the president-elect said that he thought Adams was being “treated unfairly” with the charges, and that the NYC mayor’s statements about immigration would likely land him with an indictment…
