‘Word salad’: Kamala Harris sparks mockery over LA fire comments

Kamala Harris has delivered one of her infamous ‘word salad’ messages to victims of the Los Angeles fires in the final days of the Biden administration.

The Vice President was attempting to call for patience as emergency services crews try to sift through the toxic rubble, ash and debris left in the wake of the wildfires.

But the precise message was lost in space as she delivered a rambling statement full of meaningless platitudes with no discernible conclusion.

‘The work that still needs to be done to ensure the safety around utility lines, this work is still very much in progress and so it’s critically important that to the extent you can find anything that gives you an ability to be patient in this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis, um that you do,’ she said.

Harris was holding a conference call from within President Joe Biden‘s office alongside reporters when she made the comments.

‘Lots of people who still have a home who were under evacuation order, I know you want to get back home, but this is a time to be patient,’ she said.
