NEWS NATION

President-elect, and soon-to-be 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump has gotten in good graces with global tech leaders.

The heads of five of the top eight largest companies (by market cap) reportedly plan to attend his inauguration on Jan. 20.

Here is a list of tech moguls and billionaires on the guest list.

Elon Musk

Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk is not a surprising guest as he will co-lead the new Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Musk, who also owns the social media platform X, has become a close acquaintance of Trump in recent years.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will join in Trump’s welcome to the White House and will also co-host the president alongside billionaire Republican donors at a black-tie reception before the inaugural balls on the evening of Inauguration Day.

In 2021, Zuckerberg banned Trump from Facebook, whose parent company is Meta, and Twitter, before Musk bought it and rebranded it to X.

Now, the two appear to have mended the relationship, as Zuckerberg was seen at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort for a series of recent meetings.

Jeff Bezos

Billionaire Jeff Bezos owns Amazon, the Washington Post and Blue Origin, a space company. He’s expected to sit with Musk and Zuckerberg at a table near the president-elect’s cabinet picks, NBC reported.

Bezos’ company has been part of the space race alongside Musk’s SpaceX, both of which have launched rockets into space.

TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew will also be in attendance, with the inauguration occurring one day after a potential ban on the video-sharing platform could take effect in the U.S.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai will join the growing list of tech executives to witness Trump’s swearing into office.

Reports indicate that Pichai will join Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Google, Microsoft, Uber, Apple, OpenAI and Coinbase contributed millions of dollars to fund inaugural parades and parties.
