Ugochukwu Chukwudi faces 64 felony counts after investigators found videos of child sexual abuse—most involving victims under 13—on his devices in Hammond
HAMMOND, La. — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested Ugochukwu Chukwudi, a 19-year-old Nigerian national, on 64 counts of child pornography following a month-long investigation.
Authorities began tracking Chukwudi in March after he allegedly uploaded explicit material involving minors to a cloud storage platform. Forensic analysis of his devices revealed 64 videos—most depicting victims under age 13.
“This arrest highlights our commitment to protecting children through collaborative efforts,” said TPSO, acknowledging the Hammond Police Department and Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s ICAC Task Force for their support.
Chukwudi, booked March 31, faces 41 counts for victims under 13 and 23 additional charges. The case underscores the growing role of international cooperation in combating online child exploitation.
