In a brazen act of violence, unknown gunmen abducted Mrs. Blessing Adagba, Coordinator of the Ngbo Central Development Centre in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, in the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred around midnight in the Okposhi Eheku community, sending shockwaves throughout the local population.
Eyewitnesses described the assailants, disguised as soldiers, storming Adagba’s residence and demanding she open the door. When she refused, questioning their identity, the men brandished firearms, overpowered her, and took her away to an unknown destination.
The Ebonyi State Police Command confirmed the abduction, with spokesperson Joshua Ukandu stating that the Anti-Kidnapping Squad is actively working to ensure her safe and immediate release. Local leaders and stakeholders in Ohaukwu have begun mobilizing efforts to assist in the rescue operation.
