Daniel Bwala, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media to President Bola Tinubu, has reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to honest communication about its tough but necessary reforms
Bwala made the statement during his first meeting with the State House press corps since his appointment
He confirmed that he has resumed as the official presidential spokesperson, replacing Ajuri Ngelale, who took an indefinite leave of absence in September.
Bwala, who previously served as a spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign and was a vocal critic of President Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)was appointed last week byPresident Tinubu
Addressing criticism following his appointment, including remarks by Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South, who urged him to “seek forgiveness” from Vice President Kashim Shettima over his departure from the APC, Bwala clarified that he maintains a cordial relationship with the vice president
