Video via EarthCam appears to show the midair collision of an American Airlines regional jet and a Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River

An EarthCam live stream camera captured the moment an American Airlines flight collided with a Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) Wednesday night.

The FAA says Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, collided with the military helicopter while approaching a runway at DCA around 9 p.m.

According to the flight manifest, 60 passengers and four crewmembers were onboard when the plane collided and crashed into the Potomac River.

EarthCam, a company that provides live web streams across the country, has a camera at the Kennedy Center. That camera captures the moment Flight 5342 collided with the Black Hawk helicopter.

All flights were halted at the airport following the crash. Search and rescue operations are currently underway and there is no word on casualties at this time.
