Ukraine spy chief says Vladimir Putin's health is declining

New York (Knewz) — Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to die within two years, as his “grave” illness is crippling him, Ukraine’s top military intelligence official declared.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Major General Kyrylo Budanov stated Putin won’t live long. Budanov claimed, without supporting evidence, that Putin has been sick with cancer.       

“Putin doesn’t have a long life ahead of him,” Budanov said in the interview.

The Russian leader’s health has been in question in recent months, as videos of him with a blanket, shaking and his distorted facial features have appeared. Moscow has assured the world that Putin is in good health, but those claims have been doubted.

There have also been comments that Putin underwent cancer treatments in April, according to RadarOnline.com.

The questions over Putin’s health swirl as the invasion of Ukraine reaches its fourth month. Russia invaded Ukraine after concerns about its eastern neighbor joining NATO.

Moscow didn’t want another NATO countries on its border and Putin ordered troops to attack Ukraine. For months, Kyiv and the rest of the country has faced constant shelling and thousands of lives have been lost.

Many thought Russia would quickly succeed in its invasion, but that has not been the case. Ukrainian forces slowed the initial onslaught and Russia has turned its attention to the south and east regions. There, Moscow has seen more success capturing land.

Thousands of foreign fighters have also joined Ukraine in its fight against Russia, including Americans. Recently, Russia captured two Americans and hasn’t ruled out the death penalty for their alleged crimes.
