The Ogun State Commander and Public Information Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okupe, has confirmed the tragic death of four Nigerian gospel singers in Ogun State. In a statement issued on Monday, Okupe revealed that the victims, Evangelist Ayodeji Kekerejesu, Evangelist lyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina, died in a fatal car accident along the Ikorodu/Sagamu Road.
The collision occurred when the vehicle carrying the singers crashed into another, resulting in their instant deaths. “The gospel singers from the same family were in one of the two vehicles that collided,” Okupe explained. Offering her condolences, she urged drivers to avoid over-speeding. In a separate incident, seven people lost their lives in a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway early Saturday morning. The collision involved a Mack truck, a tanker, and a bus, with excessive speed causing the fatal incident.
