“You can never see me in their coalition… it’s an injustice and an injury to the people of Nigeria.”

Convener of the Take-it-Back Movement, Omoyele Sowore, has ruled out any possibility of joining the proposed 2027 coalition led by former presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

Speaking on Arise TV’s Politics Today, Sowore said, “I’m not joining any coalition… joining another coalition in 2025 is doing the same thing all over again without thinking of achieving the same set of results.”

He stressed his opposition to joining the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stating, “You can never see me in their coalition… I’m not part of those playing chess with the destiny of Nigerians.”

Sowore emphasized he would only align with a “coalition of the oppressed.”

Atiku, Obi, and ex-Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai are reportedly forming a front to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Atiku, at a recent press conference, warned against subverting democracy, saying the current leadership must not allow “personal political interests” to destabilize the country.
