The United States embassy in Nigeria has introduced new visa interview requirements, aimed at streamlining the application process for certain categories of Nigerian applicants.
In a statement, the embassy said interview waivers will now apply to applicants renewing visas in the same category within 48 months of expiration. It added that the process allows qualified individuals to submit their applications without attending in-person interviews.
“Appointments are required for this program and can be made on the US travel docs website,” the embassy said. The new guidelines are expected to ease backlog and improve consular services in Nigeria.
