The Nigeria Police Force… has again recorded significant successes across the country.

The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended a notorious kidnap ringleader, Abubakar Usman, also known as Shehu, and killed four of his gang members during a sting operation on April 10.

Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Monday, said, “The Nigeria Police Force has again recorded significant successes across the country.”

Usman confessed to multiple kidnappings and murders, including the abduction of a medical doctor in Issele-Uku and the killing of Ms. Esther Ojoh in Ibusa. He later led officers to the gang’s hideout near the Asaba/Agbor Expressway, where a gun battle ensued, resulting in the deaths of four gang members and the recovery of three AK-47 rifles and 90 rounds of ammunition.

In a separate operation in Kano, police arrested three suspects and recovered 15 locally made rifles.

IGP Kayode Egbetokun lauded the bravery of officers, reaffirming commitment to ending violent crimes.
