“Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency.” – CEO

Nvidia announced plans to produce its AI supercomputer chips entirely in the U.S. for the first time. In a Monday blog post, the company said it had commissioned over 1 million square feet of space to manufacture and test Blackwell chips in Phoenix, Arizona. It is also building supercomputer plants in Houston and Dallas, expected to reach full production within a year.

Production has already begun at Phoenix plants operated by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. The move follows Nvidia’s pledge to invest hundreds of billions into U.S. AI infrastructure. “The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time,” said CEO Jensen Huang. The White House praised the move as “the Trump Effect in action.”
