Obi Cubana has publicly apologized after his son made disrespectful remarks about Peter Obi in a viral video.
Nigerian businessman and socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has publicly scolded his son following a video in which the boy made disrespectful remarks about former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
In a strongly worded social media statement, Obi Cubana expressed disappointment over the incident. “I have always taught my children to respect others, regardless of their status or opinions,” he said.
The video, which quickly gained attention online, showed the young boy making dismissive comments about Peter Obi, prompting backlash from the public.
Reacting, Obi Cubana emphasized the importance of humility and decorum, especially when referring to national figures. “Peter Obi is a respected leader, and such comments are unacceptable,” he added.
He also issued an apology to Peter Obi and the public, stating: “I take full responsibility and will ensure this serves as a learning moment for my son.”
