The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has achieved a significant milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to 18 academic programs at the institution.
This impressive achievement follows a rigorous assessment conducted by the NUC between October and November 2023.
The accreditation is valid for five years, starting from the 2023–2024 academic session, in accordance with the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standard (CCMAS).

Expressing her delight at the development, Professor Adenike Oladiji said the result further validates the rich faculty the University is endowed with and its recent ranking as the Second-Best University among Federal Universities. She said the University would strive to improve on all areas of its core competences and strengthen teaching, research, and community service in order to consolidate its position as a leading citadel of academic excellence.
