Tinubu approves 30%–80% pay raise for Armed Forces personnel
President Bola Tinubu has approved salary increases of between 30 and 80 per cent for about 250,000 Nigerian Armed Forces personnel, effective September 1, 2026.
Junior personnel are set to receive the highest increases under the newly approved pay structure.
The Presidency said the measure recognizes troops’ sacrifices and reinforces the administration’s commitment to military welfare and national security.
