Nigeria hits OPEC quota again in July
Nigeria met its OPEC quota of 1.5 million barrels per day for the third consecutive month in July 2026, according to Leadership Newspapers, citing the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
The country produced 1.505mbpd of crude and 0.17mbpd of condensate, though total output fell four per cent month-on-month due to operational challenges at the Erha and Akpo fields. NUPRC cited Bonny, Forcados and Cawthorne Channel as top improvers, while Erha’s output more than halved and Yoho recorded zero production for six straight months.
