UEFA awards 2028 Champions League final to Munich, 2029 final to Camp Nou
The Allianz Arena in Munich will host the 2028 Champions League final, while Barcelona’s renovated Camp Nou has been selected to stage the 2029 showpiece, UEFA confirmed on Tuesday. According to UEFA, Munich was the only bidder for the 2028 final, meaning Bayern Munich’s home stadium will welcome Europe’s biggest club game just three years after hosting the 2025 edition.
According to a Bulinews report, Camp Nou beat Wembley to the 2029 final, with the renovated stadium expected to hold 105,000 spectators. The 2027 final will take place at Atlético Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium, while Bayern famously lost the 1999 final at Camp Nou to Manchester United.
