Canada deports 111 migrants, issues 188 removal orders over organised crime, extortion

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has issued 188 removal orders and deported 111 migrants tied to organised crime and extortion, Peoples Gazette reports.

According to a CBSA statement released on Monday, the action followed investigations into foreign nationals suspected of violating the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, with the removals as of September 3 spanning the Pacific Region, Prairie Region, and Greater Toronto Area.

The agency further noted it has removed 23,160 inadmissible persons so far, compared with 1,010 in 2025, and is currently deporting roughly 400 inadmissible individuals weekly. Through Canada’s Border Plan, $30.4 million was allocated to help CBSA complete 20,000 removals annually.

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangare said the government remained committed to disrupting extortion and organised crime through law enforcement collaboration, adding that identifying and removing inadmissible individuals strengthens public safety nationwide.
