Rainbow Coalition: Wike slams ‘lazy’ APC govs

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has described All Progressives Congress governors as “politically lazy” following their collective opposition to his Rainbow Coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Tuesday, as reported by Daily Post, Wike argued that supporting President Bola Tinubu did not preclude him from building political alliances or prevent other parties from fielding candidates.

The APC governors, led by their chairman and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, had earlier declared they would not participate in, support or endorse any alliance that could undermine Tinubu’s re-election bid or affect APC candidates at any level — a position Wike’s latest remarks directly challenge.
