PHOTOS: Atiku hosts former First Lady Aisha Buhari in Abuja
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has hosted former First Lady Aisha Buhari at his residence in Abuja, describing her visit as warm and deeply appreciated.
According to TheCable, Atiku disclosed the meeting on Wednesday but did not reveal the reason for Aisha’s visit.
The African Democratic Party presidential candidate said the meeting highlighted the responsibility of those seeking a better Nigeria to prioritise citizens’ welfare, dignity and future.
Atiku said many Nigerian families are struggling with rising costs of food, transportation, education, healthcare and other necessities.
He argued that Nigerians deserve an economy that rewards hard work, creates opportunities and enables families to live with dignity and hope.
Aisha is the widow of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died in London in July 2025. She subsequently relocated with family members from Daura, Katsina State, to Kaduna.
