Christian Pulisic has been left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s latest United States squad as the manager opts for a youth-focused group during the upcoming international break. According to Sporting News, Pulisic’s omission is linked to his recent return from injury and Pochettino’s decision to give younger players valuable international experience.

The AC Milan forward suffered a lower-leg microfracture during the 2026 World Cup and only recently returned to action. He came off the bench against Lazio before playing the second half against Benfica, but is yet to start for Milan this season. Pochettino has included several teenagers in his 28-man squad as he begins preparations for the 2028 Olympic Games. Other established names, including Folarin Balogun and Tim Weah, were also omitted.
