Thomas Tuchel has made sweeping changes to England’s squad following their World Cup semi-final campaign, naming 10 players who were not part of his final tournament group. According to Sportbible, the England manager has recalled Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha, Bournemouth’s Alex Scott and Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin are among the new additions to the 27-man squad.

Nine players from the World Cup squad have been left out, including John Stones, Dan Burn, Djed Spence and Reece James, with several dealing with injuries. Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins have also been omitted. England begin their Nations League campaign against Spain at Wembley on September 26, before facing Czech Republic and Croatia.
