Chelsea dealt double injury blow ahead of Brentford clash
Chelsea have suffered a major injury setback ahead of Friday’s Premier League clash with Brentford, with Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro facing fitness concerns. According to EPL Index, Caicedo remains doubtful after struggling with a recurring calf problem that has kept him out since his brief return against Brighton.
Joao Pedro is also expected to miss the Gtech Community Stadium trip after withdrawing from Brazil’s squad through injury. However, Chelsea could receive boosts from Reece James, Jordan Henderson and Marco Palestra, who have all moved closer to a return. Emmanuel Emegha is also nearing availability as Xabi Alonso weighs his options.
